About the School
Holywell Green Primary School is situated in the community of Holywell Green which is located a few miles from Halifax. The school was built in 1915 but has had many recent developments that extend it to its current size.
The buildings are of both traditional Victorian character and more modern design. The school is located next to Stainland Road and has beautiful views over the nearby deer park and valley.
Facilities
The school has excellent facilities including an ICT suite. All the classrooms are equipped with the latest technology including interactive whiteboards. The children also make use of a variety of ICT equipment including digital cameras.
Other facilities include large playing fields for PE and a wildlife area.
Within school we have a large hall that is used for assembly, drama, music, PE and Christmas productions and festivities. We are also fortunate in having a separate dining hall where the children can eat either a hot meal or their own sandwiches.
The school encourages all its children to wear the school uniform. We feel that it creates a sense of belonging and enables the children to wear practical and comfortable clothes for school.
