Holywell Green PTA

FUTURE EVENTS

Dates for meetings and events supported by the PTA.

What is the PTA?

The PTA which consists of parents and staff of the school takes an active part in supporting the school and provides special funds for school. Functions of a social and/or education nature are held throughout the year. There is an annual general meeting when parents and staff are elected onto the committee.
The basic aims of the organisation are:

  1. To raise money for the benefit of the school.
  2. To enable and support a partnership between parents and staff, home and school.
  3. To organise functions of a social nature.

In the past funds have been raised for a variety of projects including: interactive whiteboards and projectors, digital cameras, TV/videos, playground equipment and the trim trail, located on the school field.

The PTA also support the school by funding theatre groups, science show, and musical events in school.

Events held throughout the year include: Summer and Christmas Fairs, creative competitions and discos.

All PTA events and activities are published on our  PTA facebook page, or look on the noticeboard in the main playground.

Easy ways to help raise money

Additional funds are raised through the following websites, where each time you shop the organisations donate to the PTA at no extra charge to the customer:

Use this website to shop online at stores such as M&S, Boots, Argos, Tesco, Expedia, Direct Line and other major retailers. It really easy and quick to register.

Register to support the Holywell Green PTA and Amazon will donate a percentage of your purchase to the school.

Funds are also raised through the purchase of Stikin labels for naming school uniform. These are amazing labels which are easy to use and last well on all materials. Check out the link to raise funds

Using any of the links above means for very little effort the children will benefit.

Can you double our money?

Match giving, or match funding, is a simple way of maximising the fundraising efforts of PTA events. Some companies offer matched funding by pledging a sum of money relating to the amount their employee has raised or donated to the charity of their choice (the school PTA is a registered charity). Some companies will also pledge time and resources instead of money, so enabling their employees to support a cause during their working week or offering a tangible service such as the opportunity to print posters, programmes, newsletters and so on. If you are able to help in any of these ways, please get in touch.
