Welcome to Holywell Green Primary School.

 

It is a genuine privilege to be the Headteacher of such a caring, welcoming and ambitious school. Holywell Green is at the heart of its community, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their very best.

 

We are proud to be a small community primary school, nestled in the beautiful Calderdale countryside above Halifax. Our size is one of our greatest strengths. It enables us to build strong relationships with every child and family, creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy and confident to learn.

 

Our extensive outdoor grounds provide wonderful opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. From our wildlife area and spacious playing fields to our playgrounds and outdoor learning spaces, children are encouraged to explore, discover and develop a love of the natural world alongside their academic learning.

 

At Holywell Green, we have high expectations for every child. We believe that all children can succeed when they are supported, challenged and inspired. Our dedicated staff work hard to provide an engaging, inclusive curriculum that develops not only knowledge and skills but also resilience, kindness, curiosity and independence. We want our pupils to leave us as confident learners, responsible citizens and compassionate individuals who are well prepared for the next stage of their education.

 

Partnership with parents and carers is central to everything we do. We know that children achieve the most when school and home work together, and we value the trust and support of our families. We strive to create a school where everyone feels part of our community and where every child is given the opportunity to flourish.
