Mrs Randviir's Class

Year 6

Welcome to our Year 6 class – a caring, ambitious and inspiring learning environment where children are encouraged to achieve their very best, develop independence and prepare for the next exciting stage of their educational journey.

As the oldest children in our school, our Year 6 pupils are role models for others and are encouraged to demonstrate confidence, responsibility and respect. We provide a challenging and engaging curriculum that builds on children’s previous learning, while supporting them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to succeed as they move on to secondary school.

Through high-quality teaching, rich learning experiences and opportunities to take greater ownership of their learning, children continue to develop their skills across the curriculum. We place a strong emphasis on deepening understanding, critical thinking and applying knowledge independently, while ensuring children continue to enjoy memorable experiences through enrichment activities, educational visits and opportunities to work collaboratively.

We are committed to supporting every child to flourish academically, socially and emotionally during their final year at primary school. We value strong relationships with families and look forward to celebrating children’s achievements, personal growth and the many successes they experience throughout their Year 6 journey.
Meet the Year 6 Team

Our Year 6 class is led by Mrs Randviir, who is dedicated to providing a supportive, challenging and inspiring learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Through careful planning, high expectations and a strong understanding of each child’s individual needs, children are supported to become confident, independent and resilient learners.

Supporting our class each day is our teaching assistant, Mrs Hodgson. They play an important role in ensuring every child feels valued and supported, providing encouragement, guidance and personalised support to help children achieve success in their learning.

Together, we work hard to ensure that Year 6 is a positive and memorable experience for every child. We encourage pupils to embrace challenges, celebrate their achievements and leave primary school as confident, capable and caring young people who are ready for the next chapter of their journey.
